It looks like 2016 it starting out right with a lot of stuff for the Arcade and Pinball-minded.
Tomorrow night at 6:30ish, some of us will meet out at Port City Mini Golf in Downtown Mobile. We may also migrate down the street, I believe Charlie has a pin or two in the wild within a reasonable distance.

Speaking of Events.. Plenty of great stuff coming up in Q1.

Also, next month, we are going to make it down to Orange Beach to check out Adventure Island (and probably Fat Daddy's, which is right next to it) for food and gaming. Depending on the condition of the pins, we may attempt an IFPA mini-tournament. This is still TBD.
The date for this is Feb 27, be sure to keep an eye on the event calendar entry for it in case anything changes:

Looking into March, Texas Pinball Festival Kicks off. Should be a great show. Current rumors are that Spooky's Rob Zombie pin will be there; Jersey Jack Production Hobbit Pins will be there, Jersey Jack will announce the next title (a Pat Lawlor unlicensed-theme game), Stern's Ghostbusters will be there along the new Spiderman VE, Heighway should also be there. Mixed reports also on a prototype of The Big Lebowski.

Industry Stuff
The odds of getting a local Dave & Busters seems to have dwindled for the time being, which is unfortunate. They would do really well in our tourist seasons.
Oddly, the pinball industry is busier than the arcade industry at the moment. Stern just announced the Spiderman Vault Edition; a Ghostbusters announcement is imminent and rumors say Aerosmith & Jurassic World will follow. Stern will be adding an LCD/DMD in 2016 though we aren't sure which title will get that treatment. A Stern Steve Ritchie-Designed Star Wars The Force Awakens pin looks to be in store for January 2017 (but could get pushed) and a Jimi Hendrix pin is also a 2017 likelihood. Jersey Jack is in final testing for The Hobbit and expects to ship this month. All signs point that likely delivery of most preorders by March. Spooky is moving along with their Rob Zombie pin, Heighway is moving forward with development of their Alien Pin, The Big Lebowski is happening.
I put this stuff in here, mostly to see if people are still reading. My bet is, most don't get this far. :)
Happy 2016, Friends. -- BillD
